I have a definite love/hate relationship with the greater New York area. So much of my family is here; I know the area and I feel comfortable here. But, I can't stand all the nervous energy. A lot of times I just want to yell 'Chill OUT!' at anyone and everyone, including myself.
Because that's the worst part - getting overly caught up in it yourself and not even realizing you're a complete madman.
So to combat the insanity, tomorrow I head up to Vermont - it's a gorgeous drive and I'll spend time with my sister, whom I haven't seen in way too long, and I'll see relatives and my favorite place in the world once I arrive.
Things aren't so bad.

Have a nice day.
Hey Susanna- Definitely if you're ever in California let me know. It'll help to get together with B&B people just as proof to myself that it really did happen. Sitting at home it's easy for me just to think that maybe it was a dream...
And I've decided to do a triathlon this year, and I had to tell you. A friend of mine is going to work on swimming with me (because I'm really bad..), but I'll let you know how it goes.
Good luck with your music performance classes and such. You're my hero for getting your phd in music performance. Honestly, that's really awesome. Keep in touch. :)
RVRR misses you.
I think that totally sums up my disdain for NY/NJ/ and Fairfield county CT. Nervous energy and not enough chill.
I can be in the middle of Central Park, laying under a tree on a beautiful summer day, but still never completely relax. I just could never get into that vibe.
