Still a Stooge

I'm still Curly, that is.

But, I just thought perhaps my blogosphere persona could use a bit of an update. This was prompted by the fact that I woke up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding and drenched in sweat, worrying that my bloggy buddies thought of me as Susanna as in Oh, Susanna, and not Susanna as in Iguana.

We can't have that.

I believe I've posted this before, but for newer pals, this is my campaign poster from 9th grade, still hanging in my room (I won, by the way...).

And the practicing the flute in a bathing suit pic has gotten lots of mileage, but I figured it might be time to move on.

I didn't really panic in the middle of the night, by the way...that was a joke.

Moving on, moving on...

I had a totally awesome time at Greyhound's Dog Pound. He and his family are all completely great (he and Mrs. Greyhound are amazing parents), and I can't wait to see them again.

They rescued 2 puppies from the Hurricane Katrina efforts; how much cooler could you possibly be?
Superpounce is clearly adorable, and is definitely a talented young flutist.

All in all, they treated me like a queen; you can bet that I'll be staying there for the Texas 101 race!

My trip to Austin was foiled, so I'm back in Lafayette. No harm done though...I'm planning on spending New Year's Eve with my parents, and I'm looking forward to it.

I finally signed up for the New Year's Day Triathlon (since I'll be at home instead of in Austin), and convinced my parents to join me. My plan was to get in a 2200 yard swim, an 11 mile bike, and an 8 mile run. Unfortunately, I just found out that my pool closes for the holiday at 1PM tomorrow. So, I'll have to do the swim tomorrow and the bike and run on the actual day. It's cheating a bit, I know, but sometimes there isn't much of a choice, eh?

Once again, Happy New Year. See y'all on the flip side!

In case anyone is wondering, that goofy picture of me is Superpounce voluntarily being attacked by the tickle monster.

Thanks for coming Curly. Hope we get to see you again soon.
