I've been initiated.

I'm officially back in the south; I'm once again a Southern girl.

I went to get my hair cut this morning (because it hadn't been cut since August and was disgustingly long--way, WAY past the point of pretty)...and as per usual, they straightened it.

I don't mind. A couple times a year, I even kind of enjoy it. (Okay, I admit it...I actually made sure I got my run finished before my haircut so I wouldn't feel obligated to run later and ruin the stylist's hard work.)

But, it definitely doesn't feel like me.

Straight hair with oh-so-perfect curls at the end? Not the usual, I must say. This curly haired girl tends more towards the out-of-control-mop-top thing.

But like I said, once in a while it's fun to pretend, to act as someone you're not.
And so today? Today, I'm a Cajun-southern-belle who just happened to get her hair cut. Not such a bad thing to be, actually.

It's so funny to have these little rituals every year. I thought I remember a post about this last year too :) I wish I had the patience to do something to my hair other than a pony tail every day.

I got new glasses to change up the look for now until it gets long enough to donate and chop it all off again :)

You look very thin ... maybe it's the angle, but are you eating enough?

Teresa straitened her hair once and I almost didn't recognize her! You look beautiful with or without curls : )
